Kosmos is Ben and Tim Tonak’s alternative music band that is based in Denver, Colorado. I often sat in on rehearsals when both Ben and Tim still lived in Sheridan, Wyoming, and it was awesome to observe the creative magic taking place in front of my eyes. Ben is a gifted songwriter, and I predict great things for Kosmos. I shot some of the footage for their music video “Garage Sale” during a recording session in Sheridan on December 30, 2002. You can see the “Garage Sale” video at http://www.kosmosmusic.com/garagesalevideo.html

Trail End State Historic Site (Kendrick Mansion) in Sheridan, Wyoming, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Wyoming. I have had the privilege of working there part-time as a receptionist for seven summers. Kendrick Mansion is the elegant home of John B. Kendrick (born 1857 – died 1933). John Kendrick is a rags-to-riches story – a poor orphan cowboy with no formal education past the fifth grade who went on to become Governor of Wyoming and a three-term United States Senator known as the “Cowboy Senator.”
